What is RhodyNet?
An online software system licensed to the University of Rhode Island and administered by Career
Services for the exclusive use of URI students and URI alumni seeking internships, part-time and full- time job and career opportunities and employers wishing to interview and hire URI students. Students and alumni using RhodyNet benefit from:
Who can use RhodyNet?
Any URI student currently registered with Career Services, and any URI alumni who contacts Career Services for a special alumni access code. Alumni should email Career Services with full name, major, month and date of graduation and city and state in which they now reside.
How do I access RhodyNet?
New users: Visit http://career.uri.edu and click on the word <Students> above the RhodyNet oval. Click on the <Click here to register> link below the login boxes. Fill out your profile completely (fields marked with an asterisk* are required fields). Create a personalized, case-sensitive username and password, enter your 9 digit PeopleSoft Student ID# and click the <Register> button. (Alumni use alumni code provided by Career Services instead of student ID#).
What if I have trouble using the system?
Contact Steve Gagnon for technical support at 874-5137 or sgagnon@uri.edu or come to Career Services at 228 Roosevelt Hall during office hours.
Are the opportunities only in Rhode Island?
Definitely not. Employment opportunities posted on RhodyNet represent a variety of local, regional,
national and international organizations.
Are the jobs only for seniors?
No! Jobs on RhodyNet include part-time on and off campus jobs, internships, part-time, summer and full-time jobs for students from first year through graduate student. Even on-campus interviews may offer internships for students other than seniors.
Do I have to pay to use the system?
No! All current students or URI alumni have free access to RhodyNet.
Why do I have to register to use the system?
Can employers see my information?
Employers may access basic information from your personal profile (for example, your major, date
of graduation and email address) and your resume only if you change the default “allow employer
viewing” from “NO” to “YES” and only if you have a resume on file.
How does Career Services maintain the privacy of my information?
