The Center for Career & Experiential Education has compiled resources and answers to frequently asked questions (and the answers to questions you might not have known to ask) related to career and experiential education course creation, development, and support.

Experiential Course Checklist/ Best Practices:

  1. Utilize a syllabus (see samples on course type pages below)
  2. Assign a Student Learning Agreement
  3. Review important logistical processes related to agreements, risk, and background checks
  4. Incorporate site/supervisor and student evaluations
  5. Integrate critical reflection activities and assignments
  6. Invite your Career Education Specialist to draw a connection between your class content to industry
