Resume Sample: Economics, BA & BS

Format:
An effective resume should be a simple one-column format with no graphic elements (no textboxes, photos, icons, etc.). The page is full, but not crowded, and sections are labeled clearly and organized logically (from most important to least important OR in reverse chronological order).
Content
An effective Economics resume should highlight the analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills you have developed through your coursework and professional experiences. Incorporating a combination of relevant coursework, internships, research, part-time employment, leadership roles, and campus involvement demonstrates your ability to analyze data, communicate findings, and apply economic principles to real-world challenges.
Each experience should include 2–5 bullet points that describe your key responsibilities, accomplishments, and contributions. Whenever possible, quantify your impact by including measurable results, projects completed, or efficiencies gained. Emphasize the technical, analytical, and communication skills you developed, and tailor your bullet points to demonstrate how your experiences align with the qualifications and responsibilities of the positions you are applying for.
